teaching artist specializing in artist-in-residence & community art projects
Hi there -
I’m Suzanne, a teaching artist, designer, and mom living in southern Maine.
I gather the inspiration for my artwork from nature, dance, and the celebration of children and cultures from around the world.
I enjoy bringing a strong sense of hope, inspiration, and life affirming messages to my work. In past years, these influences found their voice in fiber arts, especially batik and dye-painting. However, watercolor and marbling have become my primary mediums.
I love to bring creative experiences to students of all ages.
As a teacher, I love it when a student gets excited about the creative process! When I hear them go “cool” or “wow,” it makes my day. I love trying new things and am always developing new art experiences. Seaweed marbling and studying art from other parts of the world are projects I have researched and brought to my students over the years.
